OECD Roundtable on Cities and Regions for the SDGs

The 6th OECD Roundtable is a critical opportunity to leverage the potential of decentralised development co-operation and city-to-city partnerships in achieving the 2030 Agenda, take stock of progress on SDG 11, and harness the role of cities in shaping more sustainable food systems for the future.

 

The Roundtable will

  • Launch three OECD reports on i) Reshaping Decentralised Development Co-operation in Germany; ii) Decentralised Development Co-operation: A Global Policy Toolkit and Guidance for Practitioners; and iii) City-to-city partnerships to localise the Sustainable Development Goals
  • Analyse the progress on SDG11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities as a contribution to the 2023 HLPF;
  • Present the preliminary results of the OECD-Sustainable Development Solutions Network-CoR Survey on “The role of cities and regions for the SDGs in an uncertain geopolitical context”; and
  • Discuss the role of cities in promoting sustainable food systems and addressing the food crisis generated by the war.

6th OECD Roundtable on Cities and Regions for the SDGs

Join the virtual 6th OECD Roundtable on 20 April 2023. The event will bring together key stakeholders from cities, regions, national governments,
the private sector, civil society, academia, philanthropy and international organisations. Registration is open until 13 April 2023.

The 'Reshaping Decentralised Development Cooperation (DDC) in cities and regions: lessons from Germany for a Global Policy Toolkit' report is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Engagement Global with its Service Agency Communities in One World (SKEW) in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ).
