Striving for equal municipal partnerships

Bonn, 1 July 2024. The focus of municipal partnerships and their development policy work is the mutual exchange of knowledge and the joint implementation of projects. In this article, you can read about how you and your partner municipality - despite existing systemic inequalities between the Global South and North - can nevertheless make cooperation as equal as possible and consciously reflect on thought patterns from the outset.

Waste management is an important topic for many municipal (climate) partnerships, as well-functioning waste management is key to the responsible use of resources and the basis for recycling and the circular economy.
