Alajuela – Lahr Climate Partnership: considering climate change and biodiversity together

Bonn, 27 november 2024. The climate partnership between the city of Lahr and Alajuela in Costa Rica is tackling major global challenges: climate change and biodiversity loss. Together, they have developed an action programme with projects in both municipalities. Manfred Kaiser, Head of Environment, Climate and Sustainability for the city of Lahr, told us how the two municipalities enrich each other in terms of content.

Un muy buen partido – the climate partnership between Eltville am Rhein and Tunuyán

Bonn, 7 november 2024. It all began with the obvious areas of similarity between the two municipalities: the scenic wine-growing area and the tourism associated. In this, both cities are increasingly addressing the need to adapt to climate change. As they got to know each other better, Eltville am Rhein and Tunuyán identified further shared topics, such as biodiversity and climate-adapted urban green spaces.
