Every three years, local policy-makers and civil society stakeholders who are linked to municipalities in Africa through partnerships have an opportunity to meet up at our conference. Here they can share their ideas and experiences, and discuss common issues or concrete project ideas that are currently of interest in their inter-municipal relationships. This can involve news on fair trade, the organisation of school exchange schemes, or exchange activities in the context of civic participation and decentralisation. Everyone involved benefits from this, because many municipal challenges can be solved together. And by sharing, participants are able to discover many new opportunities and develop them further.
